For August in This Awful Awesome Life we’ll be celebrating the last hurrah of summer. How do you make the most of the month before Labor Day? We’ll be looking at a few weekend trips to take to squeeze in a little more summer.
College is starting soon and the nest will be getting a little more empty. For some of you, this will be your last child going off to college or your last child moving out. We’ll be sharing some pearls of wisdom about what happens when the last boxes are loaded and it’s time to say, “Drive safely and text me when you get there.”
Linda Cahill will have some amazing summer recipes from The Pampered Chef and Corey Flynn will help us make the most of our active summer. Gail Neustadt will help us plan for a greener summer and Orlando Bartro will entertain us with something brilliant.
Join us to find out where Terry Kish will raise a glass (or a fork) to toast summer, and we’ll have more from Jim O’Brien and some other guest contributors.
I’m excited that we are adding two new columns in August. Look for a column about movies and a column dedicated to nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. Look for some surprises, colorful pictures and of course our August quiz and more summer reading lists.
