With almost everyone at home and likely to be a home during April, now is a great time to catch up on your reading. At least that’s what I thought, but I must confess I’m having a little trouble escaping into a book. I don’t want to read about sickness, death or lost love right now and these are topics found somewhere in most books.
The challenge for this month is to find books that are funny and entertaining. There might be sickness, death or infidelity somewhere in the pages, but how it’s dealt with can be a positive lesson right now. Here are my recommendations:
The Library at the Edge of the World: A Novel (Finfarran Peninsula Book 1) by Felicity Hayes-McCoy – Hanna Casey is back home in Lissbeg, Ireland after the break up of her marriage. Her teenage daughter has gone traveling, so Hanna is left to start over on her own.
