"My Letter to The Lord"

I lay on my dining room floor

Right beneath your crucifixion

And I beg you with all of my heart

To cast away this infectious affliction

We are sad, and scared, and frightened

Of what has descended upon our land

And so I ask you in the name of the father

To please raise up your almighty hand

And crush this terrible disease

So that we may breathe and go back to normal

And start living our lives again

And go out once again in formal

I beg you again with no shame

To not let this world die and fall

But to let it begin again

And to let it be renewed for all
