This month instead of streaming movies, I’ve created a Valentine’s Day Playlist of happy and sad songs (in no special order).
Some of the most beautiful love songs are about heartache.
I deliberately selected songs you might not find on every Valentine’s Day playlist.
I pulled from multiple genres and different decades. They aren’t typical, but, trust me they are romantic. You can enjoy all of these songs on YouTube.
Not every Valentine’s Day will be filled with chocolates and flowers, elegant dinners, over-the-top gifts, and romance. Sometimes it’s just a day to get through. Music helps me get through the rough times and it makes the good times a little bit sweeter.
Some years I listen to romantic songs and watch rom-coms. Other years the Nazareth classic, Love Hurts tops my playlist and I distract myself with movies featuring car chases and big explosions. Love Hurts isn’t on my list this year, but I embedded the YouTube video for you to enjoy (RIP Dan McCafferty – what a voice!).
