The month of May started out beautifully with sunny weather, then got a bit chilly and soggy. But, my irises, lilacs, and hyacinths are in bloom, and my peonies will be blossoming soon.
Spring is here and spring green abounds. What a wonderful time of year!
We are celebrating the blessings of May and remember the sacrifices of the members of our military who lost their lives in service to our country. Before you throw that big party or shoot off those fireworks think about those empty chairs, the children who had to grow up without a parent, and the parents who were forced to outlive one of their children. Peace is the best way to honor their sacrifice. Accept nothing less.
School is almost out. Graduations are coming up. Young people will be deciding on careers goals, possibly moving out, or even getting married.
Get outside and enjoy nature. Listen to the birds chirping and the squirrels chittering. Breathe in the fresh spring air and relax. Play with your little ones; they grow up too fast. Eat good food and dance. Sing off key and pretend nobody’s listening. Cherish the time we are granted on this Earth!
It’s been a challenging year so far. Enjoy your family! Be thankful; hug the ones you love and spread a little love for humanity this month. It’s desperately needed. Please enjoy May 2026 in Pictures!
