I complained in June about having August weather, but when August arrived with June weather I totally got on board. I’ve been out and about enjoying the fun and sun, breathing the fresh air and using my sunscreen. Sometimes it’s easy to forget when the tempertures aren’t reminding us, but sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! Skin cancer (melanoma) rates are on the rise globally along with the rates of non-melanoma skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Be safe!
August picnics and get togethers have been more fun with maneagable temperatures. That last hurrah before back to school is coming eariier each year for many parts of the south. I have friends in Georgia and Alabama with kids back in school and teachers all over the U.S. are decorating their classrooms getting ready for their students.
