“What’s in a Word” is back in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
I’ve selected Irish words and expressions in Irish Gaelic (Gaeilge), the official language of Ireland spoken by only about 70,000-75,000 people in Ireland.
I’ve included a wonderful link to a tutorial on learning Irish words and phrases at the end of this list. I’m not the best with pronunciations, but I still enjoy learning a few words in different languages whenever I can. Sometimes it’s fun to just sit back and listen.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
